Welcome to the official website of
the Tennessee Pest Management Association & Allpoints. We are
comprised mainly of Tennessee pest control companies who work to
control and/or eliminate pests, whether they’re insects, weeds &
nuisance creatures as well as companies that serve the pest
control industry. Just because you’re not a Tennessee Pest
Control company doesn’t mean you can’t be a member, we welcome
all pest control companies in TN and beyond. Joining is simple,
just send one or all of your technicians to one of our Allpoints
re-certification meetings and you’re a member. Visit our
Allpoints section for more information on our educational
services and no risk offer exclusive to Tennessee Pest
Management Association members. Below you’ll also find our
Tennessee Pest Management News, as well as our statewide
benefits & check back often as we are constantly adding new
benefits and we already have plans of adding a regional benefits
page that are exclusive to different cities in Tennessee. If
you’re experiencing an especially tough problem and it isn’t
addressed on our website please don’t hesitate to call on us and
we’ll try and help you over come your adversity. The Tennessee
Pest Management Association is built on simple principles and
ideas, provide educational benefits, help shape the political
landscape & more, but the number one principle is to provide
unity and trust to the Tennessee Pest Control industry and
beyond.
Politics, politics…whether
you’re a Republican or a Democrat, you need to be informed about
rules, laws & regulations that might affect Tennessee pest
control companies. That is why we, the Tennessee Pest Management
Association, have a full time lobbyist, Jay West. Our future &
time is too valuable to try and watch the Internet for updates
regarding laws or wait until a problem bill arises and then try
and combat it. The Tennessee Pest Management Association is
actually trying to be proactive rather than reactive in the
political arena. The last thing we want to happen is to issue a
Tennessee Pest Management Association news bulletin and inform
you that a bill has passed that could have a potentially
negative impact to Tennessee pest Control companies.
A Penny saved is a penny
earned…and the Tennessee Pest Control Association has found a way for you to save money
and make money.
First Tennessee Bank’s work perks program is constantly
changing so check back each month to see what’s new with First
TN Bank. If you visit our Work Perks site and your city doesn’t
have a representative listed call us and we’ll find someone in
your area to speak with. In fact, they’ll even come to your
office so you and your employees save time while saving money,
First TN is committed to working with pest control companies in
Tennessee and we are proud to offer their Work Perks program.
Department of Agriculture
questions? Allpoints, our educational division, is devoted
to helping you answer questions about recertification, licensing
& testing in Tennessee but we can also help in several other
states. We have worked hard to have a quality working
relationship with the Department of Agriculture in other states
as well as our home state, Tennessee. Visit
Allpoints123.com for

The Trust. The Trust is our
recreational division of the Tennessee Pest Management
Association. These are activities designed for not only you are
your family, but can be open to employees and their families as
well if you desire. The Trust is just another reason to be a
part of the Tennessee Pest management Association. This year we
had an outing to a Memphis Grizzlies NBA game that didn’t cost
our participants a dime. We’ve got other ideas already in the
hopper, golf tournaments, ball games & family friendly comedy
outings to name a few. Got an idea for an event, let us know by
clicking here “I’ve got
an idea!”

We have officially
pulled the bill that would have changed Tennessee
from a label state to a warranty state. With all the
political turnover in the house and with so many
members voicing questions concerning the bill and
what it means, Mike went and asked that the bill be
pulled. We will now use this year to speak with our
members, the TN Department of Agriculture and our
political allies before continuing with the bill
next year. It is imperative that when we send out a
questionnaire have a web poll, set a meeting to
discuss this issue or anything else concerning this
bill that you get involved. You voice is only heard
if you speak up. |
Although the Round-Up
Bill passed the senate this past summer, the House
decided to send it back to the Agricultural
Committee for further review. That means that this
issue won’t be addressed until January 2008 when the
legislators go back in session. When the bill was
sent back for review it was basically the same bill
we had worked on, with a minor change in the
lowering the age of applicants To 16. We will alert
you as soon as we have information that it is being
brought up again in January 2008. |
